Ryan Greth Parks It at Susquehanna

Ryan Greth has been fast, real fast all season long. Weather it would be with ARDC or  with the USAC National Midget tour, Greth has opened eyes with his ability to wheel a midget. Although the Hyper Racing, WSL inc. number four has been fast, the results have not shown that. Blown motors, flat tires, crashes and numerous other mechanical failures have been the norm for the team. That would change Saturday night at Susquehanna Speedway as Greth would take advantage of a front row starting spot and lead all twenty laps to take his first Auto Bahn Indoor Speedway ARDC presented by Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic win of the season.
Trevor Kobylarz and Greth would lead the field to the green but before a lap would be completed Alex Bright, who was driving the Gargiulo Racing number five, spun between turns one and two to bring out the caution.
On the restart Greth would pull by Kobylarz on the back stretch to take the lead and begin to set the pace. 
Brenden Bright, who came into the night second in ARDC midget points, drove by Kobylarz on the high side but a yellow flag would put him back to third. Bright who has dominated competition this year at Susky, saw his chances at a win and possibly a championship go up in smoke as the engine in the number ninety-two expired on the next restart.
Greth continued to use the top side to lead the field with Kobylarz staying within striking distance and Alex Bright working his was back to third after his spin. With three laps to go the Cafe Waldorf, Becker Painting number fourteen started to catch the leader with Bright reeling them both in. Alex would make the first move pulling a slider on Kobylarz in turns three and four to take second and set his sights on race long leader Greth.
Alex Bright wouldn’t have enough to catch the black with green lettering in honor of Bryan Clauson number four as Ryan Greth would park it on the front stretch at Susquehanna.

ARDC Finshes PA Midget Week on a Brightside

Alex Bright took another Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic ARDC presented by Autobahn Indoor Speedway feature at the Linda’s Speedway Friday night. Bright, coming off a heart breaking loss at LANCO against USAC on Tuesday night, started in the seventh position and used the top side in turns one and two and the bottom in turns three and four to work his way to the front passing race leader Brett Wanner on lap sixteen of the twenty five lap feature.
Brett Wanner and Ryan Greth lead the field to the green with Wanner leading lap one and Trevor Kobylarz jumping to second.
Kobylarz took the lead on lap two and began to distance himself from the field, but the feature winner last time at Linda’s would go up in smoke with engine trouble ending his night.
The 44 of Wanner inherited the lead as the field went back to green with Nick Wean, Ryan Greth and Bret Arndt battling for second. Arndt would make a bold move splitting the 4 of Greth and the 78 of Wean to take the position. Nick Wean’s night would end with a broken axel and a slow roll over going into turn one a few laps later.
On the restart Alex Bright moved into third and set his sights on the leaders. Bright would get by Arndt on lap twelve and move into second behind Wanner. Bright caught the leader and would use the top side to pull even coming off turn two and down the back stretch. Wanner and Bright came to the line in a dead heat to complete lap fifteen with Bright using his momentum to make the pass on the topside of turn one.
Alex seemed to have things in the bag as he pulled away from the field but a late caution with two laps to go would set-up a shootout between him and his brother Brenden. Brenden Bright, who started in the rear of the field after breaking a rear end during warmups, picked his way through the field but wouldn’t have enough to pass older brother Alex at the end. 
Alex Bright went on to take his 4th checkered flag of the year with Brenden, the Keizer Wheels hard charger, second and Bret Arndt rounding out the top three.

ARDC Set to Battle USAC in Keystone Invasion

The 2nd Annual PA Midget Week kicks on this Sunday August 14th at Susquehanna Speedway. Brenden Bright has been the man to beat at the 4/10th of a mile speedway located in York Haven PA. Bright has won three of the four events held at Susky this season with the other won by his brother and current ARDC point leader, Alex.

Round two moves to Path Valley Speedway Park on Monday August 15th. Rico Abreu took home the checkers last year in this event. Grab your popcorn and enjoy the mighty midgets on the high banked quarter mile.

Tuesday, August 16th takes the tour to LANCO’s Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway in Newmanstown PA. Alex Bright has taken both wins in ARDC competition this season at the Clyde. The action will be tight on the 1/8th mile bullring.

The final round that USAC and ARDC will co-sanction together will be held on August 17th at Lincoln Speedway. Rico Abreu rode the cushion to the thrilling win last year in the Pigeon Hills.

ARDC will complete their midget week at the Jonestown PA quarter mile that is Linda’s Speedway Friday, August 19th. The racing has been second to none this season with Brett Arndt and Trevor Kobylarz taking the wins.
